Your Pock library
Pock stores imported pictures, recognized text, generated details, notes and reminder settings in its app storage on this device. It reads images you choose to import; it does not upload your entire photo library. Device backups may include this data depending on your Apple settings. Pock is not a backup service.
Optional account
Sign in with Apple lets Pock verify your identity without a Pock password. Apple supplies an identifier and authorization tokens, which may contain your email. Pock stores an account identifier, a protected representation of your Apple identifier, encrypted authorization credentials, and hashed session credentials. It does not store your Apple name or email as profile fields.
Your account is used for cloud access and service limits, not to sync your picture library. Sessions expire after 24 hours. Account records remain until you delete your account. If you subscribe, Pock stores the original Apple transaction identifier associated with your account and verifies subscription status with Apple. Pock does not receive your payment card details. Expired sessions and sign-in challenges are cleared by periodic cleanup.
Use Account to export your server account data or delete your account and local Pock saves. Deletion revokes Apple authorization and removes account and usage records from the active server database. Provider retention, hosting backups, Photos originals and Calendar copies are separate. An active Apple subscription must be canceled through Apple.
Optional AI processing
Only after you allow AI sharing, saved images, recognized text, save dates and collection names are sent through your selected server to OpenAI. The Pock cloud server runs on Render. AI can process existing unprocessed saves and new saves from the app or share sheet. Notes you add in Pock are not included in the AI request.
The gateway does not deliberately write image content or extracted text to its database or request logs. It temporarily caches AI results in server memory for retries. Results expire after 10 minutes and are cleared by periodic cleanup while the service runs, or when it restarts. It stores a client identifier, image fingerprints and usage records to enforce allowances. Request timestamps are retained for a rolling 24 hours; monthly usage records are retained for the current and previous UTC calendar month. Hosting backups and provider records are separate. Hosting infrastructure can process connection information such as IP addresses.
Requests disable OpenAI response storage. This is not a promise of zero retention: provider safety, security and legal retention can still apply. OpenAI states API data is not used for model training by default. Provider policies and account settings govern their processing.
OpenAI data controls
Render privacy policy
Pock does not include advertising trackers or sell your saved content. External websites you open have their own privacy practices. Data sent to providers may be processed outside your country.
Your choices & deletion
Turn off AI organization to stop new uploads and withdraw AI permission. Already-sent requests cannot be recalled. You can keep using saving, on-device scanning, search and manual editing without AI.
Delete a save from its details screen to remove its Pock image and details and cancel its Pock reminders. This does not delete the original in Photos, copies in backups, provider records or separately created Calendar events. Delete Calendar copies in Calendar. Removing local saves does not reset server usage allowances.
Notification and Calendar permissions can be changed in iPhone Settings. Disable automatic reminders or automatic calendar creation in AI organization settings; existing scheduled reminders and calendar copies remain until you remove them.
Privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. Contact us using the email below. We may need to verify a request before disclosing or deleting records. Legal exceptions can apply.
You can withdraw permission for future AI sharing in AI organization settings without losing local saving and editing. Withdrawal does not undo processing already performed. You may also raise a concern with your local data protection authority.
Accuracy & important events
AI and text scanning can get titles, prices, dates, times, locations and links wrong. Check generated details against the original before relying on them. Timed calendar events may use a default duration, and dates without times may become all-day events.
Notifications can be delayed or unavailable because of permissions, Focus, device settings or service failures. Pock is an organizational aid, not an emergency alert, medical, legal or financial advice service. Use an independent reminder for safety-critical events or important deadlines.
Use & ownership
You keep your rights in your content. Only import and share material you have the right to use, and respect other people’s privacy. Saving a picture does not grant rights to republish it. Do not use Pock for unlawful activity or to bypass service limits.
Pock is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information through Pock, contact us using the email below.
Apple standard app license
For App Store distribution, Apple’s standard license applies unless a separate license is supplied. Nothing here removes rights that applicable consumer law does not allow to be waived.
Plans & billing
Viewing plans does not create a purchase. Any subscription purchase requires confirmation through Apple, where the price, billing period and renewal terms are shown. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your Apple Account settings. Deleting Pock does not cancel an active subscription. Your saved items remain available when a subscription ends; AI processing is subject to your current plan’s limits.
